We offer a variety of accommodations, all set amidst a gorgeous jungle scape, from mountaintop to sea.

Our signature pool sits far above the sea in the morning sun in the jungle. Orchids, gladiolas, mangoes, papaya, and cocos grace the pool area where many of our friends and family commune.

    In the fall of 2023 I took my two teenagers on their first out of the country vacation and we chose Maitri in Roatan as our place to stay.

    My children had a trip of a lifetime! They swam and lounged in the peaceful pool on the property. They spent the days here wandering around and discovering new wildlife. They experienced new foods. They commented on how friendly everyone who lives here were to them. Rebeca was a lovely host who took us around to various outings such as horseback riding on the beach, ziplining, snorkeling, and yoga. 

    We of course spent a great deal of time at the property relaxing, and rejuvenating our minds and bodies.  We even came home with a jungle kitty who has become the love of our lives. 

    Maitri is the picture of perfection if you are considering a get away to unwind and quiet your soul.

    I booked the apartment on Airbnb, but this place is so much more than an Airbnb rental. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that relaxed in my life. I was able to completely disconnect from everything that had been driving me crazy in the city. I took full advantage of being in the jungle, and went for a walk around the property every morning. This is the place to come if you just want to “get away” for a bit!

    Heavenly! Yoga, Reiki, Reflexology and an Ayurveda lunch, I cannot wait to return! It was just what I needed. They accommodated our schedule, ensuring we could fit all we wanted in our mini-day retreat. Rebecca lead our yoga on a bamboo deck overlooking the stunning jungle property. After, we were led down a beautiful cobblestone pathway to our reflexology and Reiki sessions. We were served a delicious fresh lunch; all of which left us feeling refreshed and cleansed.

    I came to Maitri for a 5 day individual retreat between jobs and it was just what I needed for a spiritual reset. The yoga classes, massage, reiki session, and ayurvedic meals were all incredible. The property is beautiful and as someone who can't spend all day on the beach without getting bored, it was a wonderful option while on the island. There is a true sense of community around Maitri and a very welcoming presence. I really hope to get back there someday!

Our Location

Ideally located between West End and West Bay, Maitri worlds away from the traffic of both popular towns while granting quick access to both communities. Maitri is nestled in the jungle below the main road to West Bay, where guests have access to shared taxis passing by, or might decide to walk 15-20 minutes to the beach and into West End, or take advantage of one of our scheduled rides to West End or West Bay in the morning.

We provide daily transportation to West End 7:45 a.m. and to West Bay Beach per request.
